Topic: Happenings in Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers
The presentation is based on the article published in the 40th edition of Sound & Vibration The 'Real" History of Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers authored by Joe Deery.

The content of the presentation will review the worldwide spectrum analyzer instruments offered since the 1950's that resulted in a dramatic change from previous instruments.  These 'happenings' offered a significant upgrade from the market offerings in capability, size and weight, connectivity and cost, e.g. Hewlett Packard 3582.  Technical specifications and the testing requirements to validate their performance will be addressed along with specmanship utilized by some manufacturers (without naming names) that results in confusion.
